For home-textile importers and wholesalers, a natural-looking collection needs accurate material descriptions as well as a coherent visual style. Texture, an earthy colour or a soft handle can support an appearance description; none identifies the fibre composition.

Check component facts before approving product names, wholesale listings or private-label packaging. Keep those facts tied to each product reference so similar-looking designs are not given the same unsupported material claim.

Describe what you see without inventing the material

Words such as cream-coloured, textured or fringed can describe visible features accurately. Calling the same item pure cotton or entirely natural adds a different claim that needs evidence.

Do not infer the composition from a photograph or from another item that looks similar.

Ask about relevant components

For a cushion cover, the face and reverse may need separate clarification. For other textiles, backing, lining, pile, ground or trims may be relevant to understanding the complete item.

Ask the supplier for the actual composition information and clarify the scope of any percentage or material statement.

Check the words in the product title

A title can imply a material even when a later paragraph is more precise. Review titles, descriptions and packing text together so they do not contradict one another.

Confirm the fibre descriptions and required disclosures for each destination before approving labels or listings. A supplier description still needs to be matched to the exact goods and your intended sales presentation.

Keep care and performance separate

Confirmed fibre content still does not settle every question about the finished construction. Obtain product-specific care guidance and evidence for any performance requirement that matters to the intended use.

Similarly, a verified material description should not be expanded into an unsupported environmental or health-related benefit.

Approve consistent descriptions for the wholesale collection

Record the exact product reference, verified materials and useful design features. Leave unresolved composition questions in the approval record rather than filling the gap with attractive wording.

When discussing a Casa item, identify the particular product and the composition details your team needs confirmed. An appearance-based description should never become a substitute for that information.

Use Casa’s cushion-cover designs to identify the product references relevant to your enquiry.

Ask about the composition of selected textile references.
